Peter Vitruk, PhD, MInstP, CPhys, General Manager
Prior to co-founding Aesculight in 2005 and Luxarcare in 2002, Peter played a variety of research and development roles around the globe. He was a Research Scientist with The Academy of Sciences in the former USSR (1985-91) and a Visiting Research Fellow with Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, UK (1991-95). He later worked as RF excited CO2 laser Programs Manager with Synrad Inc. (1995-98), and then as Senior/Chief Scientist with Luxar/ESC/Lumenis (1998-02). He has authored over 10 patents and over 20 articles on RF excited CO2 gas laser plasma and resonator technology and is a Member of The Institute of Physics, London, UK.
Paul Diaz, MSc EE, Member IEEE, Director of Medical Business Development
Prior to co-founding Aesculight in 2005 and Luxarcare in 2002, Paul played major development roles at several companies. He was Project Manager with Johnson & Johnson Ultrasound and then Senior Electrical / Software Engineer and Systems Group Manager with Laakmann Electro Optics (merged into Xanar, Coherent Medical). He later co-founded Luxar Corporation (merged into ESC/Lumenis) and served as its Director of Engineering until 2002, leading all electrical and software design of the LX-20 and Novapulse systems. Paul is a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
Carl Bennett, Director of Sales and Marketing
Carl is Luxar Corp. / Lumenis alumnus and has been on the forefront of medical laser and CO2 laser surgical applications for over ten years. Prior to joining Aesculight and Luxarcare in 2006, Carl has served as Sales and Marketing Director of Accuvet / Lumenis. At Aesculight, Carl is responsible for all day-to-day Sales and Marketing operations in USA and Canada, and directs Aesculight’s active customer educational programs of CE seminars, workshops and wet-labs.
David Walters, Engineering and Operations Manager
Dave is another Luxar Corp / Lumenis alumnus, where he was engaged in a variety of Engineering and Manufacturing roles between 1995 and 2002. Dave joined Aesculight LLC in 2005 as its Engineering Manager. He brings an extensive laser engineering and laser manufacturing experience including design, prototyping, high volume production of high-precision systems and sub-systems, quality controls, and regulatory controls. Dave also oversees daily manufacturing operations together with Peter and Paul. Prior to joining Aesculight, Dave served as Engineering Manager at Sensitech Inc. in Redmond, WA.
Cynthia Bennett, Customer Service and Order Administration Manager
Cindy joined us in 2005 as our Customer Service Manager for the Luxarcare line of products and services. Since introduction of the Aesculight surgical platform in 2006, Cindy has been extensively involved in supporting Aesculight customers with all aspects of new laser installations and customer service. Cindy manages a team of four customer service associates with particular emphasis on supporting new Aesculight customers in successfully implementing laser surgery in their practices.
Marian Roberts, Materials Manager
Marian joined Aesculight in 2006 and has been extensively involved in creating, managing and constantly advancing Aesculight’s manufacturing materials controls. Marian is an expert in Purchasing, Planning and Materials Management with over 30 years experience with Medical, Aerospace and High-Tech Manufacturing companies in the Northwest USA. She is also Luxar Corp. alumnus, where she was engaged in a variety of supply chain management roles in the 1990s.
