Aesculight Moves to New State-of-the-Art Facility
BOTHELL, Wash., Oct. 30, 2017 – LightScalpel / Aesculight has outgrown its old office in Woodinville, WA, and has relocated to a larger facility — less than 3 miles away and right next door to where the original Luxar Laser Corporation was founded in the late 1980s. With the additional manufacturing and office space and the opportunity to continue growing, this much-anticipated move will enable LightScalpel to serve its customers even more efficiently.
LightScalpel’s new physical and remit to address is:
LightScalpel / Aesculight / LuxarCare
11818 North Creek Parkway North, Ste. 100
Bothell, WA 98011
LightScalpel is a surgical CO2 laser designer, manufacturer, and service company that is still innovating and revolutionizing the standards of surgical care, next door to where its predecessor — Luxar Laser Corp — was founded in Bothell, WA, USA, almost 30 years earlier. LightScalpel continues the Luxar’s tradition of utilizing durable all-metal CO2 laser tubes and proprietary flexible fiber delivery system, with the latest advances including disposable-free laser handpieces, programmable custom settings, and more.
“After a tenure at two very successful CO2 laser startups in the 1990s, and without a single penny of investors’ money, we have started in my garage in 2002-03 as a service provider for the bestselling Luxar surgical CO2 lasers. Our shipping address was at the local UPS shop, the good folks there nicknamed our laser boxes “water heaters” … The next 14 years we spent in the office building in Woodinville’s Wine Country designing and building up the Aesculight and LightScalpel technology. I am proud of my partner Paul Diaz, and our second-to-none laser design, operations, customer service, and service staff. We’re thrilled to have moved on to a much larger state-of-the-art facility to meet our growing needs.”

Originally designed for dental offices, and later utilized by all surgical specialties, flexible fiber CO2 lasers are making a comeback in dentistry. Pediatric dentistry is where LightScalpel is making the most impact, helping babies to breastfeed. Other uses range from treatments to help overcome breathing impediments, all the way to implant dentistry, and far beyond (with uses in ophthalmology, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, dermatology, cosmetic surgery, veterinary surgery, and more).
