Find out what veterinarians are saying about Aesculight and VetScalpel CO2 lasers.
I was utterly amazed by how well the surgery went. There was very little bleeding and my dog had no bruising, and no appreciable pain, or discomfort following the procedure. Being able to work alongside Chris while he explained how the unit worked, and having him show me how to use the unit, was one of the best experiences I ever had in a surgery suite.
My surgical laser has been one of the best investments in my 35 years of practice. It has proven to be a constant source of income while separating my practice from others that do not offer laser surgery. The ability to drastically reduce pain, swelling and hemorrhage is invaluable.
We love our Aesculight CO2 laser and would never practice without it!
I upgraded to a 3020. I think it’s terrific. It’s faster and easier, and I love setting my own standby thresholds.
With the Aesculight laser, one can change quickly from a cutting mode to ablating mode. Most of the CO2 lasers are designed primarily for cutting. Ablation with these lasers is very tedious and complicated. In dermatology, most of our procedures require wide-field ablations; cutting is not used as often, so this Aesculight laser is an excellent choice for the skin. Aesculight is the company with its headquarters in the USA. They build the laser entirely in the US, in compliance with and exceeding all the US standards. This laser is of the highest quality and is built to last. It is a laser with engineering that you can rely on, by people who you can trust. This laser is far superior both in quality and safety to all of the foreign-built lasers that are on the market.
I LOVE this laser! It is simply a joy to work with. I especially appreciate the programmability that allows each individual laser surgeon the option to adjust particular user settings such as timing delays of the smoke evacuator and standby modes, common power settings, etc. Having the smoke evacuator tied into the laser footpedal is another great advantage. I also commend you on the engineering advances – despite the fact that this laser is a 30 watt compared to my former 20 watt unit, it never gives me the overtemp warning when running it at high power settings for long periods of time.
I can’t think of anything to improve upon! Congratulations on an outstanding product!
Aesculight's increased power, cooling system, one-pedal evacuator control, and user interface panel make it a dream machine.
If I cannot use the laser tomorrow, I’m DONE!
We see dramatically less pain with laser patients versus the blade, especially in small dogs.
I love the laser and use it for everything. It is the one and only piece of equipment that makes a profit.
The laser has been a great boon to our practice.
I was skeptical, but I love the laser now. It’s great. I use it every day.
I have not used a scalpel blade since I got the laser.
You know what the problem is with this laser?
The one or two times a year I want to use a scalpel, we cannot find one!
I love it! I would not practice without the darn thing.
We really enjoy having the laser. It is a lot of fun. We use it all the time.
I don’t know how I would practice without my laser.
Even though I am not compensated for laser use, I can't stand to do surgery without my laser.
The laser will make you money faster than any other piece of equipment you can buy.
I love it. It is probably the best thing I have done for my clinic.
I use the laser more than any of the other technologies I have ever invested in.
I have had my laser for ten years, and I could not practice without it... the laser allows me to do many procedures that I would need to refer if I did not have the laser.
“I have previously used a CO2 laser by a different manufacturer. I am constantly impressed by how much of an improvement my Aesculight is over the other brand ... better power, less zone of damage, which leads to better, faster healing for my patients.
Our new Aesculight laser is a big improvement in speed and power over our previous laser. I am very happy with its performance.
... the laser is unbelievable, I made the right choice. ... if ANYONE wants to talk about what laser to buy I will give them some very good advice.
I have been extremely pleased both with the Aesculight laser and the Aesculight company. Dr. Arza (Aesculight laser consultant) was great to work with during the entire process, and provided a valuable day of laser set-up and surgery. The laser is user-friendly and has been a wonderful addition to our practice. I’d recommend Aesculight to anyone. Thank you!
The laser has been the most profitable piece of equipment I’ve put in during the last ten years. Clients love it.
I have found that we need to do very little to sell our laser to our clients. They already know the benefits of laser. They accept it readily and they want it for their pets. The laser has produced profits from the start.
We use the laser almost every day, and the first month billed out $700.00 in laser-use fees running from $35.00 for minor procedures to $150.00 for more complicated ones. Averaging $50-$75. Not one complaint about laser fees. In fact, quite the opposite, clients are impressed with the technology and excellent results.
We paid off our laser in a little more than a year, which is better than any other piece of equipment we ever bought. Plus ... it’s fun!
All the customers who chose to do the laser surgeries are very happy to see that their animals are feeling much better, faster too! Thank you for your great service!
We’ve gone all-laser. We dropped using a blade altogether.
“I love the laser. I use my laser for all our procedures. I still have the same pack of surgery blades from six years ago.
Adding a laser is the best thing we’ve ever done. We use our lasers across the board. We hardly ever pick up a scalpel.
I can’t live without my laser!
I love my Aesculight. I do think it makes a big difference in recovery and postoperative care.
I love my laser more than anything in the world. ... I am going to be doing more elongated soft palates, stenotic nares, and facial folds.
I love using the Aesculight laser. It has made surgery go much quicker and smoother. I will never do tumor removals without it ever again. Efficient customer service.
Easy to use, fun to use, neat to do surgeries we would not have tried with a scalpel, and the only piece of technology that gives us income and profit every day that we use it, which is five days a week.
Surgical laser is a good addition to our busy practice. The best of all is your local representative, who is a great help to learn the proper use of laser. This has provided us a good opportunity to learn quick and use the equipment every day.
Purchasing a laser was very important to me when opening our new practice. It gives the animals such an easy recovery. Our representative and Aesculight made the purchase and new staff training easy. Thank you.
...laser surgery offers better hemostasis and visibility, less post-operative swelling, and decreased post-operative pain. In certain procedures, better hemostasis and visibility will reduce overall surgical time. As more clients and owners become familiar with these advantages, the laser will become a frequently requested surgical tool.
It is now fair to say that various surgical lasers have extended the operative precision, range, and morbidity reduction in small animal surgery. Equine upper airway surgery has also been revolutionized, and there are certainly many applications yet to be developed.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) lasers are used in oral surgery for precisely cutting or vaporizing soft tissue with hemostasis... tissue vaporization is more efficient with the CO2 laser than with other lasers... because of the direct absorption of this wavelength by water.
The carbon dioxide laser is a very effective tool for treating diseases of the perianal region. The skin of the perianal region is thin and sensitive… the laser offers a “no-touch” method of excising these lesions, which helps to decrease post-operative discomfort and irritation... the laser is very effective in controlling hemorrhage from vessels smaller than 0.5 mm... the laser photothermally vaporizes bacteria so that bacterial numbers are decreased, which helps reduce the risk of post-operative infection. These factors help the patient recover quicker and return to function sooner.
There are many benefits of the CO2 laser in exotic animal practice. Their use is limited only by the imagination.
In using Laser we affect a decrease in pain, swelling, and bleeding during surgery. The laser is used in place of a traditional scalpel. It is very useful in almost every procedure, including such procedures as lump removal, oral and skin surgery. We have observed a significant reduction in post operative discomfort for all of our pets when procedures involve laser versus the traditional scalpel method.
The laser is so precise in its capabilities that it allows us to do procedures that were once thought to be impossible or at least very risky. When used during the removal of a pancreatic tumor the laser can seal the organ. When used during the reduction of a long soft palate in Bull Dogs, it dramatically reduces the risk of bleeding.
WHY CHOSE LASER? The answer is simple. Patients that have laser surgery experience dramatically less pain than with conventional surgery. CO2 lasers seal the nerve endings. Without the “raw” severed nerve, the patient feels little pain or discomfort. These patients also have very little bleeding or swelling. With laser surgery, there is also no tearing of the tissue. Without the usual trauma of conventional surgery there is minimal bruising and inflammation. Therefore, most patients have a speedier recovery allowing pets and their loved ones to be home together sooner.
Laser surgery is one of the newest surgical innovations available to veterinary medicine. It uses surgical CO2 laser light to cut and cauterize tissue instead of a scalpel blade. It literally vaporizes cells to separate the tissue planes for incisions or to vaporize to remove unwanted cells. While common in human medicine for plastic surgery and other medical procedures for many years, it is now available economically enough for veterinary medicine to benefit...
I have been very pleased with my purchase of the Aesculight 30 watt CO2 laser. There is no doubt that it is a great addition to my practice. I have been pleasantly surprised to find excellent client acceptance of the technology. The first month I used the laser, I did not perform a single procedure without a laser. Since, clients still opt for use of the laser >90% of the time. Clients already understand that laser is better...
I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how pleased we have been with our laser up to now. ... Our only regret is that we didn’t bring a laser into the practice sooner!
Of all the equipment we have ever bought, the laser generated the most income and is the most fun to use.
We use the laser every day that we do surgery, and have had about 80% client compliance. The laser has many uses, and is a lot of fun.
If I am doing surgery, I am doing laser surgery.
This is just a note to say thank you and all of your staff at Aesculight for making my transition to the use of surgical laser in my practice so easy. From my first contact with you to sales, delivery, setup, training and support your team have all showed a professionalism and dedication to my success that is equal to the quality of the great product that you sell. What a concept, a great product with great support. Sounds like a formula for success. Thanks again.
The main advantages of the CO2 wavelength technology for soft tissue surgery include reduced tissue trauma, precise dissection, sterilization of the tissue surface, reduced operative hemorrhage, quickened healing and reduced post-operative pain. My clients regularly comment on how good the surgical sites look.
